The Great Schools to Work For certification process centers around a research based survey that gives your district an overall picture of the engagement level of your employees compared to other organizations. It can be used by boards, superintendents, and principals to measure and monitor your district's ability to provide a great place to work for your staff.
If your scores on the survey qualify you for Great Schools to Work For certification, you can use the designation to celebrate with your staff, parents, and other stakeholders, as well as recruit the best staff to your schools. Certification is awarded to schools with engagement scores that fill any of the following criteria:
"Certified": Average overall score of 4.0, with no item average score less than 3.0;
"Certified": Rank in top 50th percentile overall average score, with no item average score less than 3.0;
"Top 25": Rank in top 25th percentile overall average score, with no item average score less than 3.0;
rest assured, we will walk you through the process
You fill out a simple profile to tell us about your school or district and choose a two week survey window for your staff. We provide you with a pre-survey letter to distribute to staff, explaining what the survey is measuring and how important it is to your continuous improvement efforts.
After receiving a roster with the emails of all of your staff, we send each staff member a link to fill out an anonymous online survey. After your survey window closes we crunch the numbers to measure your engagement levels and determine how you score against others.
We send you a high level report with your results and whether your scores are high enough to qualify for Great Schools to Work For certification. We also provide you with suggestions and resources for sharing the results with staff, parents, your board, and other stakeholders.
You celebrate, promote, and set goals for continuous improvement! Certification possibilities exist at score achievement and percentile rankings. Each year you have the opportunity to re-survey, get new results, and re-certify.
